7:00: Caustic Graphics (part of Imagination Technologies) is an Autodesk Developer Partner will be here and they have developed a plug-in that provides real-time ray tracing within the viewport for Design Professionals.

LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

It’s our 4th annual IronMax 3D competition, The reason it is on the 3rd is in celebration of 3December (http://area.autodesk.com/3dec2012).

Four teams will battle to the death in order to with the crown!… or other sweet prizes.
And by “to the death” I mean that they will have 2 hours to model and render a top secret scene.

We will start promptly at 6:30 in order to give our teams optimal modeling, texturing and rendering time. So, get there on time to see the kick off.

6:45: Presentation #1: UDK: Architectural visualization is increasingly moving towards a more interactive format. A part of this is the push towards clients being able to walk through and interact with the environment. The Unreal Development Kit has been instrumental in developing the next generation of vis projects.
This presentation will explore this process from starting with a final result, as well as going through some workflow issues.

AAUGA Meeting – Thursday, 16 August 2012

Special Guest: Steven Roselle, games industry focused Solutions Specialist at Autodesk, who has worked closely with a wide array of game developers using Maya, MotionBuilder and Mudbox for game content creation. This involves software customization, workflow development and pipeline integration, as well as working as a liaison between game developers and the Maya product development team. Some of the game companies Steven has worked with include EA, Microsoft, SOE, Activision and Nintendo.

AAUGA Volunteer Position

The Boston Chapter of the Autodesk Animation User’s Group is seeking a Volunteer! Assist in the planning of our monthly events and maintaining outreach in the animation industry. Small commitment of just 3 – 5 hours per month. Requirements: 4 – 6 years of industry experience (animation, gaming, 3D production, or animation education).  Send your resume to AAUGA Boston.

 

Student Ambassador Position

The Boston Chapter of the Autodesk Animation User’s Group is seeking a Ambassador! If you are a current student enrolled in an art, an animation or a 3D program, are seeking some industry experience and a resume builder, send your resume to AAUGA Boston, This is a volunteer position, 3 – 5 hours per month.
